The Traditional Cuisine Bergo Make with Indonesian Rice

Cuisine Bergo is a traditional Indonesian food, it which is made from steamed Indonesian rice flour and sauce made ​​from fresh fish meat mixed with coconut milk. Makes it a little bit tricky also takes quite a long time. There are similarities Bergo with Lakso, basic ingredients using rice flour dough, the difference lies in the processing of the dough ingredients. The same sauce, they use fresh fish and coconut milk. Lakso must use a mold that is shaped like a large sized white Noodle/ spaghetti, Lakso batter is very thick / dense. - Ingredients and cooking -

A. Ingredients Dough Bergo
  • 250 grams of rice flour
  • 50 grams of corn starch
  • 1/2 tablespoon whiting (not necessary)
  • 500 ml of water
  • 50 ml coconut milk
  • Salt to taste
AA. How to cooking the dough
Mix all the above ingredients and stir well.
Preheat a baking sheet that has been spread with coconut oil to prevent sticking.
Pour the batter into the baking pan that has been heated before with a thickness of 1-4 mm.
Steamed until cooked. Allow a few moments and then roll.
Do the same with the remaining dough uncooked, steamed again
When you have completed all Bergo cooked, Bergo is cut into slabs/ coin/ carrom  with a slice thickness of 4mm.

B. Ingredient for soup seasoning
  • 250 grams of fish, mackerel, take boiled meat and finely minced
  • 500 ml coconut milk
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 500 ml of water
* spices grinded / blender
  1. 1/2 tbsp coriander finely
  2. 2 tbsp galangal
  3. 2 tbsp kencur
  4. 1 vertebra turmeric
  5. 4 cloves of garlic
  6. 5 spring onions
  7. 1/2 tablespoon salt
  8. 50 gr grated coconut

BB. How to cooking soup Bergo
To make the sauce that has been mashed boiled fish (without bones) with 500ml of water.
Pour the spice blend and stir well.
When it is boiling pour 500 ml of coconut milk, stirring constantly, reduce heat.
